of Iranian Americans Announces "Call the White House Hour"
to Protest INS Policies
Although I am happy to report to you that we have obtained the
release of a great majority of the detainees, many innocent men
still remain in jails. Our negotiations with INS still leave a
lot to be desired. Our access to Lancaster jail was not and still
is not sufficient. There are many other jails. We need to have
an accounting of all the people that have been taken to all of
the jails. Because, we do not know how many people are still in
jails unaccounted for, and we do not know who were transported
to the maximum security Federal Detention facility in Florence,
Arizona. We cannot leave them behind.
AIA's Action Plan is two fold now:
First. AIAs Class Action Law Suit, which is pending now,
to release all of the innocent law abiding prisoners.
Second. The arrests and detentions of Iranians have become an
Issue in the Media. We need to keep it that way by calling the
White House, and by continuing to protest. That way we will keep
this Issue alive in the Media until the White House intervenes
from the top.
